Obtained by expressing the rind of the small orange-like fruit.

Aroma:  delightfully citrus with a slight spicy overtone.

Blends well with:  most other essences, particularly geranium, lavender, vetivert and ylang ylang.

Used for calming the senses, agitation, insomnia, depression. Used for boils, cold sores, cystitis, tonsillitis and premenstrual syndrome.

Caution:
Do not use on the skin before sunbathing as it may cause temporary pigmentation.

Obtained by steam distillation of the dried and crushed black peppercorns from the fruit of the woody vine.

Aroma:  warm, dry, woody and peppery.

Blends well with:  frankincense, ginger, marjoram, rosemary and sandalwood.

An aphrodisiac and stimulant. Used for the treatment of loss of appetite, chilblains and poor circulation. Has a warmng effect for coughs, colds, muscular aches and pains.

Obtained by distiallation of the flowering leaves and tops of the herb native to the Mediterranean.

Aroma:  sweet and warming, floral.

Blends well with:  cedarwood, citrus essences, frankincense, geranium, lavender, marjoram and peppermint.

Used primarily as a warming and relaxing nerve tonic. Reputed to be an aphrodisiac. Helpful for PMT, high blood pressure, insomnia, nervous tension, throat infection, whooping cough, excessive perspiration.

Caution:
Do not use during pregnancy. Do not use when you have alcohol in your system as it may cause nightmares.

Obtained by distillation of the leaves of a tall tree native to Australia.

Aroma:  camphoric.

Blends well with:  lavender, lemon, peppermint, pine and sandalwood.

Helpful to clear blocked sinues or help with the cold virus by adding a few drops to your pillow or a tissue. Used for cold sores, colds, coughs, fevers, head lice, migraine, neuralgia, sinusitis, sprains and throat infections.

Obtained by distillation of the whole plant.

Aroma:  freshly floral and sweet.

Blends well with:  most other essences, but especially bergamot, petitgrain and ylang ylang.

Used as a balancing oil, whether for mood, hormonal, or skin. Can also help with treatment of cellulite, fluid retention, thrush, wounds, diabetes (can help to lower excessive blood sugar levels). Capable of relaxing or stimulating according to mood.

Caution:
Although a balancing oil for most people, it may be too stimulating for a few sensitive people.

Aroma:  refreshingly floral with a balsamic woody undertone.

Blends well with:  most other essences.

Use for anxiety, insomnia, PMT and nervous tension. Can be helpful for abscesses, acne, athlete's foot, burns, coughs, colds, high blood pressure, bites and stings.

Obtained by distillation of the leaves and twigs of the bitter orange tree.

Aroma:  woody with a herbaceous undertone.

Blends well with:  clary sage, cypress, geranium, juniper, lavender, rosemary and ylang ylang.

Used primarily for fortifying the nervous system. Helpful for anxiety and nervous tension, insomnia and palpitations.

Obtained by distillation of the flowering tops of the herb native to the Mediterranean.

Aroma:  warm, sharp and camphoric.

Blends well with:  basil, cedarwood, citrus oils, juniper, lavender and petitgrain.

A couple of drops on a tissue will aid mental stimulation.

Used primarily as a stimulant for body and mind. Helpful for arthritis, bronchitis, burns, colds, dandruff, headache, low blood pressure, mental fatigue, migraine, wounds, palpitations.

Caution:
Do not use in the first three months of pregnancy or if you are epileptic as this oil is very stimulating.

Obtained by distillation of the leaves and twigs of the hardy tree native to Australia.

Aroma:  medicinal.

Blends well with:  eucalyptus, lemon, lavender and pine.

Used primarily as an antiseptic, antibiotic, antiviral and antifungal essence. A powerful immune system stimulant. Helpful for acne, athlete's foot, cold sores, colds, dandruff, influenza, insect bites, thrush and warts. A few drops in the bath can soothe the effects of hyper anxiety.

Caution:
Can cause temporary irritation to sensitve skin.

Obtained by distillation of the flower petals of the tree native to tropical Asia.

Aroma:  intensely sweet, soft, floral, balsamic.

Blends well with:  chamomile, citrus oils, geranium, lavender, patchouli, rose, sandalwood.

Used healing distressing emotions and to slow down over rapid breathing and heartbeat, so it is excellent for panic attacks. Reputed to be an aphrodisiac. Helpful for anxiety, depression, PMT, high blood pressure and shock.
