Aromatherapy massage is a gentle healing art that incorporates the use of these oils to promote health without the side effects of modern drugs.
These fragrant oils which are extracted from flowers, grasses, fruits, leaves, roots and tree’s help to heal, revive, relax and balance.
Aromatherapy massage is a complementary treatment and the essential oils and other aromatic compounds can be used to alter the persons mind, mood, health and cognitive function.
Aromatherapy helps to restore harmony between the body and the mind and works to strengthen the immune system. Sedative oils can lower stress levels, energising oils can help with conditions such as chronic fatigue and thyroid disorders. If you suffer with insomnia or irregular sleep patterns then oils such as Lavender and Neroli can help to restore calm and induce a restful nights sleep. Muscular aches and pains can be treated with warming and comforting oils such as ginger, marjoram and black pepper. Aromatherapy oils can also be used in skincare and can help soothe excema and psoriasis.
After an initial consultation I will personalise your aromatherapy massage treatment by blending a range of essential oils. Quite often my clients enjoy the healing fragrance of the aromatherapy oils combined with a deep tissue massage. This will relax the muscles further and create a warm glow within the body. I can also blend an oil for you to take home, these oils can be used in the bath or as a body oil.
